I was glued to my seat yesterday as the clock ticked down to the final moments before the start of the State of the Team's Meeting. It was exhilarating knowing that in such a short time we, I, had come so far in this pursuit to get tech savvy. It's as if there isn't enough time in a day to accomplish the many tasks that are at hand. The reality is that I enjoy knowing that time is the only factor that really provides a road block in this journey that I am taking. So , I will have to make that commitment and "play" as much as possible with each new type of technology that has been introduced to our Team, especially this BLOG. It has been my Achilles heel. On the other hand, I can't get enough of Sandy's and my Goggle Doc's applications. My point is I wish I had more time to just be "TECHIE". Thanks to great Leadership, that Leads by Example.

I think you were genuinely giddy! I hear you on the time issue, and its valid. I think taking part in our conversations, be them real or virtual is worth it though.
ReplyDeleteBest advice I could give is to have the CNI Home Blog on your list of favorites. When you have a minute (literally!), you can post a few! I'm glad you've joined us!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know that others shared the wonder and excitement of our State of the Team virtual meeting. Isn't that the same excitement that we want students to share? Isn't the bravery to approach the new techie tools with an attitude of learning in the trenches what we want to pass on to our teachers? We have mad huge leaps this spring. Now, let's pass on our excitement everywhere we go.
ReplyDeleteYes I was totally excited Sharmen - shared this with my teenagers (senior & junior) and guess what they said? You're right...they've done this in school already! I hope one day I can share something with them that they haven't already learned.
ReplyDeleteActually Janice - this just happened to me! I was telling Garrett (son) about twitter - and he said he knew all about it. Yeah right! Next thing I knew I received an email that said "Garrett Flores is following you on Twitter." His message said "What is this supposed to do, anyway?" I felt like a million bucks! Such a TECHIE QUEEN!
